About 1 Plus Books 关于壹嘉出版
壹嘉出版由资深出版人刘雁创办于2015年， 聚焦于思想、人文与历史类书籍的策划与出版，致力于通过出版与阅读推动海外华语社区的对话与思想、记忆的传承，为言说者提供空间，为倾听者找到渴望听见的声音。出版项目涵盖回忆录、通信集、口述史、文学、历史与政治随笔等，深受读者与评论界关注。
壹嘉出版关注个体经验、公共理性与自由精神。十年来已有多种作品获奖，多数作品入选美国国会图书馆及北美一流高校图书馆馆藏。
壹嘉希望以自己和海外图书业者的共同努力，搭建一个华语社区的思想文化空间，连接作家、学者与公众。基于此，2024年末，壹嘉发起成立了501(c)(3）非盈利组织壹嘉人文学社，以独立精神为根基，强调多元视角与思想碰撞，通过线上线下的讲座论坛、读书分享、话题讨论等活动，期望在日益破碎的公共空间中，留下一处理性与温暖的思想之所。

Founded in 2015 by veteran publishing professional Yan Liu, 1 Plus Books has evolved from a small publisher focused on Chinese content to a company that now publishes in both Chinese and English. Their Chinese-language efforts are dedicated to delivering high-quality fiction and non-fiction to Chinese readers in the U.S., while engaging the Chinese community through reading clubs, book-sharing sessions, and other cultural events. Their English-language publications aim to enhance cultural exchange between the U.S. and China.
Who We Are
Yan Liu - Founder, President, Editor
Yan Liu is a veteran publisher, writer and translator. She held executive positions in multiple Chinese publishing companies before she started her own publishing business in the US.
Yan has won multiple national awards for her publishing works in China and the US, including the National Library's Wenjin Book Award, National Journal Award, and the Chinese American Lirarians Assocaition'd Honor Book Award. Her recent translation work, Chinese version of the Penguin Guide to the United States Constitution, was published by The Commercial Press, one of the most prestigious publishing companies in China, in 2016. Yan moved from China to the US in 2014, and founded 1 Plus Books in the next year to continue pursuing her passion for books.
